Message from Mike

My name is Mike Deranger, proud member of the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, founder of Derantech and lifelong advocate for Indigenous business and youth apprenticeship.

After more than 20 years of building opportunities for Indigenous youth through training and business, I have begun a peaceful hunger strike to call attention to an urgent truth: real Indigenous businesses are being pushed out of our own lands by industry and outside companies posing as us.

This page will serve as our platform to share updates, resources and voices committed to true economic reconciliation. Our stand is peaceful, respectful and rooted in the belief that authentic Indigenous businesses must not only survive, but thrive.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can protect opportunities for our youth, our communities and our future.
